SUMMARY:Workshop: Creating a Food Forest
DESCRIPTION:Creating a food forest is all about putting the right plant in the right place.  In this workshop we’ll show you how to incorporate fruit and nut trees\, berry bushes\, perennial vegetables and salad greens\, tubers\, vines and edible flowers into a low-maintenance\, self-fertile edible landscape using applied ecology and permaculture design.  Workshops include an in-depth discussion of garden design theory and a detailed tour (and tasting!) of our demonstration gardens.  We’ll also harvest\, prepare and eat something from the gardens.  Bring a notepad and weather-appropriate clothing; workshops take place rain or shine\, and are entirely outdoors. \nWorkshops are $40/person. \nCall or e-mail us to sign up: 705-441-1217  fiddleheadnursery@gmail.com \n
