Lupinus perennis: 2’6” high x 2’ wide / full sun to part shade / zone 4
This beautiful herb from the legume family is a great nitrogen fixer and mineral accumulator. It also provides nectar to bees and other beneficial insects. Many varieties of this native wildflower are grown for the ornamental horticulture industry, as it’s really lovely when in flower, and easy to grow, too. It will self-seed if it’s happy.
