Fiddlehead Nursery
Rare Edible Perennials

Now closed for winter; Re-opening Saturday, May 11, 2019 Join us January 24-27 at the Guelph Organic Conference. Ben Caesar is doing workshops on perennial vegetables and propagating perennials, and Fiddlehead Nursery has a booth at the trade show. See you there!

Fiddlehead Nursery is a permaculture plant nursery in the Beaver Valley, near Collingwood, Ontario.  We specialize in edible, perennial plants, and design low-maintenance, productive gardens.  We carry many delicious and rare perennial vegetables and salad greens, as well as berry bushes, fruiting vines, fruit trees and nut trees.  We offer consultations for garden designs, and host tasting tours of our extensive and ever-expanding demonstration gardens.  We don’t ship plants or sell online, so come for a taste!

Open Thursday to Sunday, 10am-5pm, plus holidays from mid-May until Thanksgiving.

We sell farm-fresh food!   Perennial shoot vegetables such as hostas, udo, caucasian spinach, Solomon’s seal, sea kale, sorrel, and mitsuba, along with perennial salad greens, edible flowers, currants, gooseberries, seedless table grapes, and other seasonally available garden produce.
