Product Description
Prunus persica: 12′ high & wide / full sun / zone 5
A fresh peach picked ripe from the tree is one of the most delicious fruits in the world, but the trees are difficult to grow and require full sun in a very well-drained soil. Because we have heavy clay, we plant ours on elevated mounds. They’re self-fertile, and make attractive additions to an edible landscape. We carry the following varieties, all on Bailey full-sized rootstock:
Redhaven – The most popular variety in North America, with juicy, flavourful fruit that ripens over an extended period.
Reliance – Productive, hardy and fast-growing trees producing reddish-yellow, delicious, freestone fruits. Resistant to bacterial leaf spot.
Harrow Diamond – Canadian variety produces firm, mostly freestone fruit with good flavour. Resistant to bacterial leaf spot & brown rot
