Product Description
We grow these instead of blueberries, as they thrive in our heave alkaline soils. The skins of the berries are very thin and melt in your mouth, and the seeds are too small to notice. They’re delicious fresh and can be made into any of the standard preserves. The shrubs are very hardy, and bear more fruit if given a position in full sun. We use bird netting to prevent cedar waxwings from helping themselves to the harvest. Two different varieties are required for pollination; we carry Borealis and Berry Blue.
