This is a true giant among bellflowers, providing a glorious display of flowers (some have blue flowers, some white), growing tall enough that you can pick them without bending over. The flowers make a beautiful addition to salads and the leaves can also be used raw or cooked. It spreads by rhizomes, and can become weedy, so be careful where you put it. It makes a handsome addition to the edible flower garden.
