This is another excellent low-maintenance berry producer, native to the cold Saskatewan prairie.  It thrives in poor soils, and produces masses of blue berries which are good for fresh eating as well as preserves.  Very low-maintenance and pretty, too, with beautiful white flowers in early spring and red fall foliage.

Honeywood – A reliable heavy producer of half-inch-sized fruit

Smokey – Another productive shrub, Smokey suckers more than other varieties and has very sweet fruit

Theissen – larger than other varieties, growing to 15 feet high and wide in favourable conditions; produces loads of large, great-tasting fruit
